The Cranberry Harvest Celebration is a great
way to see and learn about the picturesque
cranberry harvest, while enjoying some
old-fashioned family fun.
Sponsored by the Cape Cod Cranberry Growers'
Association and the A.D. Makepeace Company, the
Celebration features cranberry bog tours, helicopter
rides, pony rides, cooking demonstrations, juried
crafters and artisans, musical performances, games for
children and much more. Admission $5, age 6 and under
free admission, parking is also free. Many events and
activities are free, additional fees for some activities
apply.

Eyes on Owls
One of our most popular additions to the Harvest
Celebration in 2009 was a unique live owl display
which captivated children and adults alike. This
year, we're pleased to offer "Eyes on Owls" both
Saturday and Sunday during the Celebration.
Naturalist Marcia Litchfield Wilson brings more
than 45 years of experience with natural history
and field ornithology to her environmental
education programs.
Don't miss her fun, educational, and free
demonstration at the Cranberry Bog.
We at Cranberry Harvest Celebration Central are
pleased to announce a great addition to this year's
festivities: Boat rides on scenic Tihonet Pond!
Boats (and captains) will be provided by our friends at
Plymouth Watersport, which offers fishing tours
throughout the year.
Tihonet Pond is an 89-acre pond fed by the Wankinco
River. It features a dramatic spillway at the Tihonet
Pond Dam, at the entry to Tihonet Village, and a fish
ladder used by herring each spring.
Tickets are $10 for adults and $5 for children.
