When you come to the Cranberry Harvest Celebration, you'll find plenty of staff, clearly identified in orange vests, who can answer any question and help you find what you're looking for. But here are some questions we've heard in the past. What are the hours and days that you are open? Saturday and Sunday of Columbus Day weekend, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Is there ample parking available? Is there a parking fee? Parking is free, and there's plenty of it! How much is the entrance fee? Admission is $5, $3 for seniors, and children under 7 are admitted free. What can I do while I’m there? We recommend doing the bog tour -- at no additional charge -- as soon as you arrive. You'll take a quick bus ride to the bogs we call Frogfoot, then stroll around and listen in as experienced cranberry growers explain the process -- or view the harvest by helicopter (for an additional fee). While there, you can check out the bluegrass music or the birds of prey exhibits, make a bog in a cup, and more. Back in Tihonet Village, the kids will enjoy pony and train rides, you can explore the craft tents, or -- new this year! -- take a spin around Tihonet Pond in a paddle boat. Will it be fun for my kids? We're all about the kids. Children enjoy the rides, bouncy house, face painting, and pumpkin painting, they like the cranberry bog tour and making a bog in a cup, and they're fascinated by the birds of prey. Should I bring a camera? Absolutely. We believe there is nothing more beautiful than a crisp blue New England fall sky reflected in the flooded bog where thousands of bright red cranberries are floating. Is there a lot of walking? Yes, but we make accommodations for our guests who have trouble with walking. Flag down a member of our staff to get assistance from a golf cart. Is it handicap accessible? See above. We are also very proud to have been visited by Kenny's Traveling Wheelchair. Is there food available? Our selection of food offerings is unparalleled and unique, with something special to please any palate! Can I bring my dog? Sorry, no pets. If it rains, will you cancel the event? No -- much of the event is under cover, and the rest will happen rain or shine. Are you on Facebook? We sure are! Thanks for asking. How do I get there? View 158 Tihonet Rd in a larger map |
